On behalf of the Presidency of the World Peace Council, we repudiate with all of our forces the growing of military actions of the government of Ukraine against federalist movements of the East and the South of the country, as well as the explicit support, which this govern is giving to criminal actions committed by Neo-Nazis.

The WPC denounces strongly the recent massacre of Odessa where reactionary fascist groups, set on fire the locked Trade Union building of the city,with hundreds of protesters seeking protection inside the building on Friday 2nd May 2014. The clear murderous attempt was completed when the protesters were trying to escape from the fire by jumping from the windows of the mentioned building and the armed gangs were beating and shooting these people to death.

WIDF visit to Syria

The WPC expresses its categorical disapproval of the recent disciplinary measure of the UN High Commission for Refugees against Mrs. Umut Kuruc, representative of the Freedom and Equality for Women of Turkey, member of the Peace Association of Turkey (Baris Dernegi) and member of the Steering Committee of the Women International Democratic Federation (WIDF), by which Umut Kuruc was removed from her post as Senior Secretary of the UNCHR (based in Ankara) after having taken part in a WIDF delegation to Syria on 19-22 October 2013.

We met 75 years from the day that Hitler’s Nazi Germany occupied Czechoslovakia. The carte blanche from the “liberal” powers had already been issued through the shameful Munich dictate. Occupied Paris – and London massacred by air raids – followed only in the subsequent year.

Once again the U.S. peace movement is silent in the face of another coup d’état that is being promoted as a democratic uprising. Troops are moving, war threats are being thrown.

Peace Organizations must urgently act to illuminate the travesty of justice that is taking place. We spoke together for negotiations with Iran. We must raise our voices now.

El Consejo Mundial de la Paz denuncia los planes y acciones en curso de desestabilización en contra de la República Bolivariana de Venezuela por parte de los grupos reaccionarios con el apoyo de las fuerzas imperialistas.

The World Peace Council denounces the ongoing plans and actions to destabilize the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela by reactionary forces and groups with the support of imperialist forces.

The recent violent orchestrated events in Caracas and other regions of the country show clearly the intention of the local oligarchy and its foreign supporters which are aiming in putting obstacles to the efforts of the elected government of the country to empower the people and to solve social problems and needs.

The World Peace Council expresses its serious concerns and worries about the recent discussion on a possible future presence of NATO troops (under United States leadership) in Palestine in order to “guarantee” and “supervise” the implementation of a “peace plan” between Palestine and Israel. The interviews by the President of the Palestinian National Authority and the PLO Mahmoud Abbas to Israeli and US Media in this regards, create many questions to peace loving forces and people around the world.

The World Peace Council (WPC) expresses its firm protest and denounces the arrest of Margaretta D'Arcy, an Irish Peace activist who has become known from her militant participation in actions against the use of the Irish Shannon airport by US and NATO air planes in their crimes and aggressions against many countries and peoples in recent years.
