The World Peace Council expresses its indignation and rejects vehemently the latest threats and attacks of the US administration against the Cuban Revolution and its leader Raul Castro. The dirty campaign of the USA against Cuba does not stop at the asphyxiation and strangling of the Cuban people with the complete energy blockade and the other sanctions. It has taken new levels of immoral and unacceptable fabrication of supposed legal accusations against the sovereign right of every country to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

In these 67 years from the triumph of the Cuban Revolution the various US governments have never given up their multifaceted actions to destabilize and overthrow the people’s will in Cuba. These days, while being the main responsible for the suffering of the Cuban people through the cruel siege on oil and fuel delivery, the USA is escalating further its dirty campaign by accusing the historical leadership of Cuba for incidents which led to a clear and open violation of the Cuban airspace in 1996 by mercenary planes from Miami.
The USA has no moral, political or juridical right to claim or raise similar charges. Especially not when it is broadly known that it has planned and executed dozens of terrorist actions against Cuba all these years.

The WPC salutes the brave Cuban people which is resisting the threats and maneuvers of the USA and expresses its solidarity with the Cuban people and its Revolution.
