The All India Peace and Solidarity Organisation (AIPSO) expresses its deep sorrow and profound solidarity with the people of Nepal in the face of the enormous loss of human lives and widespread destruction of property caused by the recent disaster.
AIPSO conveys its heartfelt condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones and shares the grief of all those who have been affected. At this hour of immense suffering, we stand firmly in solidarity with the people of Nepal and wish them strength and courage to overcome this grave tragedy.
AIPSO urges the Government of India to extend all necessary humanitarian assistance to the Government and people of Nepal, including rescue and relief support, medical assistance, essential supplies and all other help required to meet the immediate needs of the affected population. Given the close historical, cultural and fraternal ties between the peoples of India and Nepal, India must stand shoulder to shoulder with the people of Nepal in this difficult hour.
AIPSO also urges the Government of India to remain alert to the possible impact of the disaster in the adjoining districts of Bihar and other affected areas, and to take all necessary preventive, relief and rehabilitation measures to protect the lives and livelihoods of people who may be affected.
AIPSO calls upon all organisations and people committed to peace, solidarity and human welfare to extend their support to the people of Nepal. We reaffirm our unwavering solidarity with the people of Nepal and hope that, through collective efforts and mutual assistance, the affected communities will recover and rebuild their lives at the earliest.
