The Polisario Front has played a decisive role in the struggle against colonialism and for the recognition of the inalienable right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination and to a free, independent and sovereign homeland according to their will.

With the systematic failure to comply with United Nations General Assembly resolutions aimed at ensuring the free exercise of the right to self-determination by the Sahrawi people, the Kingdom of Morocco has continued its violent repression of Sahrawi communities in illegally occupied territories and the pillage of Western Sahara's natural resources.

On this occasion, the CPPC reiterates its solidarity with the struggle of the Sahrawi people and the Polisario Front for the materialisation of their legitimate and just aspirations. The CPPC calls for an end to the repression exercised by the Kingdom of Morocco on the Sahrawi people, to the illegal occupation of the territories of Western Sahara, for respect for the Sahrawi people's right to self-determination, for the release of Sahrawi political prisoners held in Moroccan jails.

O Conselho Português para a Paz e Cooperação saúda a Frente Polisário, legítima representante do povo sarauí, por ocasião do seu 49º aniversário.

A Frente Polisário tem tido um papel determinante na luta contra o colonialismo e pelo reconhecimento do direito inalienável do povo sarauí à auto-determinação e a uma pátria livre, independente e soberana segundo a sua vontade.
Com o sistemático incumprimento de resoluções da Assembleia Geral das Nações Unidas que visam assegurar o livre exercício do direito à auto-determinação por parte do povo sarauí, o Reino
de Marrocos tem prosseguido com a sua violenta repressão sobre as comunidades sarauís nos territórios ilegalmente ocupados e a pilhagem dos recursos naturais do Sara Ocidental.
Nesta ocasião, o CPPC reitera a sua solidariedade com a luta do povo sarauí e da Frente Polisário pela realização das suas legítimas e justas aspirações. O CPPC reclama pelo fim da repressão exercida pelo Reino de Marrocos sobre o povo sarauí, pelo da ilegal ocupação dos territórios do Sara Ocidental, pelo respeito do direito do povo sarauí à autodeterminação, pela libertação dos presos políticos sarauis detidos nas cadeias marroquinas.
