Against the illegal colonization of Palestine, let's strengthen the opposition to the Israeli occupation!

Saturday, February 11, 2017

The World Peace Council (WPC) expresses its most vehement rejection and revolt against the approval of a law in the Israeli Parliament that illegitimately "regulates" the theft of Palestinian private land in the occupied West Bank. The WPC has expressed its firm solidarity to the Palestinian people in their struggle for liberation and, in this occasion, we reiterate our rejection for the occupation of their territory, calling for strengthening the international opposition to this regime.

We join the Palestinian and Israeli peace movements in their resolute opposition to the colonialist, virulent right-wing's practice of attempting to disguise their war crimes, as described under International Humanitarian Law, with the aim of giving it an appearance of legitimacy. The approval of a law for the theft of Palestinian land to assure and expand settlements seeks to guarantee a future illegal annexation of Palestine by Israel and kill any chance of establishing the independent and sovereign State of Palestine, as recognized by over 140 nations.

We demand that Israel's allies claiming to be advocates for human rights, such as the European Union and the United States, end once and for all their complicity with a genocidal regime and their complacency for the war crimes it perpetrates.

We demand that the UN puts into force the recent UNSC resolution 2334 against the Israeli settlements and the other resolutions concerning the Palestinian question, and that the International Criminal Court takes a clear stance for the end of Israeli impunity, opening a case against the Zionist leadership for the war crimes committed in the Occupied Territories of Palestine.

We call upon all peoples for the reinforcement of their solidarity and support for the Palestinian people's struggle for liberation!

For the end of the Zionist occupation and for the free State of Palestine, now!
