Ce lâche bombardement perpétré contre le peuple Syrien et sans autorisation du Conseil de Sécurité viole la lettre et l’esprit de la Charte des Nations Unies, sous le prétexte de l'utilisation d'armes chimiques par l'armée syrienne à l'est de la capitale.

We Cypriots, both Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots, and other peace-loving Cypriots, who have responded to the call issued by the Cyprus Peace Council and have gathered today on 16 April 2018 outside the US Embassy, declare the following:

With the approaching of the Global Day of Action in Solidarity with the People of Venezuela, April 19th, the Portuguese Council for Peace and Cooperation divulges recent actions and positions in solidarity with Venezuela it developed in Portugal.

Solidarity with Venezuela

The World Peace Council (WPC) expresses its solidarity wih the people of Venezuela in defense of its achievements and in struggle for its sovereign right to decide alone and without foreign interference its matters. The WPC denounces the open threats and actions by the US admnistration (in continuation of the previous administration), by the European Union and willing allies of the region who support the destabilization in the country and impose sanctions aganst the people of Venezuela and its elected government.

The All India Peace and Solidarity Organisation (AIPSO) strongly condemns the air strike against Syria by joint forces of USA, UK and France on 14th April on the pretext of the use of chemical weapons by the Syrian Army in the East Ghouta, the east of the capital Damascus which was under terrorist control still some days before.

The Committee Against War Milan organized in the centre of Milan a rally-protest in defence of Syria.
Parties and associations have participated to the rally, together with many Syrian and Lebanese people, all of them have invited Italians to support and defend their own country.

We condemn the attack made by the coalition comprising the USA, Britain, France and Israel on Syria.

This attack once again showed that imperialism is content with stupid pretexts for declaring war. There is no evidence that the Syrian government used chemical weapons. And there is no reason for the Syrian government to use chemical weapons and shoot itself, at a moment when it is defeating the jihadist gangs.

The Peace and Neutrality Alliance along with World Beyond War condemns unreservedly the overnight attacks carried out by Western powers on the Syrian Arab Republic.

The pretext for this offensive is that a chemical weapons attack has allegedly been carried out by the Syrian Government and that international law banning prohibiting chemical weapons must be upheld. Given that the bombing of a sovereign state is itself a violation of international law, we are being asked to believe that international law must be broken in order that it be upheld -- a manifest absurdity.

The World Peace Council (WPC) denounces vehemently today's morning criminal raid by the imperialists of the USA, Great Britain and France against Syria. The bombing of Syrian targets on the pretext of the use of chemical weapons by the Syrian Army in the east of the capital, which was once more never confirmed, took place only a few days after Syria prevailed over armed mercenaries in East Ghouta and the evacuation of the area which began to return to relative normality.

With the election of Mr. Trump to the US presidency, the policy of the deep state and hawks is continuing, as we are once again on the brink of a generalized devastating war which has begun within the framework of a Cold War policy being pursued. This war, it appears, will not be confined to Syria alone.
