Demonstration against NATO in Prague

Two weeks before the Warsaw NATO summit a demonstration against NATO took place in Prague, Czech Republic. The peace demonstration was organised by several peace organizations and the Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia on Wenceslas Square in Prague city centre on Saturday 25 June 2016.

Besides the representative of the Czech Peace Movement Ondrej Kazik, there were several others speakers, e.g. chairman of the Central Council of the Communist party of Bohemia and Moravia Vojtech Filip, former Czechoslovak Deputy Prime Minister and Slovak Prime Minister Jan Carnogursky. Protest was attended also by various members of Czech or European Parliament, members of several regional goverments, former ministers etc. Demonstration was also saluted by writer Lenka Prochazkova and movie director Zdenek Troska.
The international campaign of the World Peace Council "YES TO PEACE! NO TO NATO!" was presented during the demonstration and recieved support and appreciation by the participants of the Prague protest against NATO.
